One of the most gorgeous beaches I have ever laid my eyes on is fittingly named Dreamland and it lies on the Bukit Peninsula in Bali, Indonesia. This beach also remains as home to my scariest surf session while traveling.
I traveled with my mother to Bali, so I didn’t have a surf buddy on this particular trip. I paddled out on a 10+ foot day and didn’t fully understand the powerful currents that occur on an island during a large swell. Needless to say, I made it back, but with the help of another surfer.
This photo was taken on a calm day when the waves were merely beach break. Although, this surfer has more guts than I do when it comes to riding waves in extremely shallow water. This is what we would call a board breaking day.
