One of the best parts about our trip to the Dominican Republic in December was our stay at Ali’s Surf Camp in Cabarete. Not only because the staff is kind and friendly to everyone, but because there is something about surf camp that brings out the best in people.
“Good Afternoon. Are you Christy?”
I hear a voice from behind as we collect ourselves and our luggage from the cab. Our minds still a bit groggy from 17 hours of travel and sleeping on the Miami airport floor.
The old town of Puerto Plata is home to many attractions. A few of our favorites include the tobacco shop where you can buy cigars and Mama Juana, and you can also watch the process in which they make both of these.
