It's a Total Eclipse of the Moon - Lunar Eclipse Time Lapse Video
It was 4:00 am on a Saturday (Dec 10, 2011) when my alarm yelled at me to wake up. As I lazily drifted over toward the bathroom, I gave Christy one more chance to join me. A sleepy, “no thanks” was all that I received.
By the time I finally got downstairs I realized it was getting late and there was nothing readily available for breakfast. I hesitantly headed for Jack in the Box to pick up some instant gratification.
I pulled into a dirt parking lot that was mostly shielded from surrounding lights so that I could catch a good view of the eclipse. It was almost 4:45am, the start of the eclipse, so I had to move!
I drank some coffee to brighten my eyes, even still I stumbled around, trying see in the dark to set up Christy’s partially unfamiliar camera, as well as my own. Sleep tight, Christy, you’ll get to see the eclipse when you wake up as well as a grumpy boyfriend.
****Note from Christy: The next total lunar eclipse won’t be until 2014, so my lazy ass thanks you, Scott.
